Terms

These terms govern your use of the site, meaning the pages served at kkrwhofrags.xyz. Reading it means accepting them; if you do not, the remedy is to close the tab, and there are no consequences to that.

The author means Cyrus Kakkar. The work means the writing, code, drawings, layout and data published here.

Nothing here creates a contract of engagement, an offer of employment, or an obligation on either of us. Getting in touch is an invitation to talk and no more than that.

The work is the author's, and copyright in it is reserved. You may read it, link to it, quote it with attribution, and take ideas from it freely. Ideas are not what is reserved here.

What is reserved is wholesale reproduction: republishing pages or substantial parts of them as your own, and passing off the projects described here as work you did. Ask first and the answer is usually yes.

Where a project links to a public repository, that repository's own licence governs its code and overrides this clause entirely. 24 of the 29 catalogued projects carry such a link; the rest have no public artifact, and the case studies say so rather than implying one exists.

Some projects were built for clients or employers. Those descriptions are accounts of the author's own contribution and imply no claim over the client's property, branding or confidential material.

The site is offered as is. Considerable effort goes into making every figure on it checkable, and much of it is computed from the source at build time precisely so it cannot go stale, but no warranty is given that any statement is accurate, current, or fit for a purpose you have in mind.

Nothing here is professional advice of any kind: not engineering, not architectural, not legal. Do not build anything, structural or otherwise, on the strength of a portfolio page.

To the extent the law allows, the author is not liable for any loss arising from use of the site. Where the law does not allow that limit, it applies as far as it is permitted to and no further.

Outbound links go to things the author does not control. A link is a citation, not an endorsement, and it may rot without notice.

There is no uptime commitment. The site may change, move or disappear at any time, and it owes you no notice before it does.

Do not use the contact form to send unsolicited advertising, and do not attempt to flood, probe or break the site. The form reaches a person, not a queue.

If you find a security problem, reporting it to cyrus@kkrwhofrags.xyz is welcome and will be treated as a favour rather than an intrusion.

These terms are governed by the law of British Columbia, Canada, and the courts there have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.

If any clause is unenforceable, the rest stands. The in force date in the masthead is the date this page was last built, and the version then published is the version that applies.
